Buy a scanner that can scan transparencies or sslides. Epson makes several and the 4490 is a good photo scanner. I have one and it is fine, but it's photo scanner and not for copying pages from heavy books. Canon are also competent scanners. A proper one will have a proper separate light source and not just a mirror to illuminate your slide. They are more pricey but worth it.

I'm doing mine with an Epson Perfection 2480 Scanner It'll scan 2 slides at a time, old pictures and also film strip. Good results and mega other jobs as well. Have scanned over 800 documents on to CDs and our web site , Stew

by using a scanner, some all-in-one printer have some good scanner, check the spec before buying.

Or just get a really good scanner for about £80
