Wow dude, it's extremely and absolutely NOT !!!!!!! No no no no.
I really do not understand why there are ppl said about that in this modern world. Ok. Lets dig this matter deeply. ok.
Rock / metal music for some ppl are so very bad things that we have to avoid or throw it to the thrash. Why ??? In this condition, the ppl who do that or have a thought like your friend, got a faith in their brain, one more time i said in their brain, not in their heart. that they should not listen to this music. In their younger ages they are injected by some religion thought that this rock / metal music is satanic music, devil worshipper music, and also a very bad music to listen to. Just ask your friend about this and he will say yes. i guaranted that. And this injection are always told times to times to them, so in their mind then this music is bad, maybe the baddest music. so then this injection are spreading in their brain, not in their heart. Cause one day, this ppl will use their heart to judge a music, and then they will understand which is good and which is just a lie. Music is a thing that we should judge by our heart not our brain.
Just ask this to your friend "if you said, that listening rock music is sinful, so then let me know for sure what music i have to listen which an unsinful music ?, some gospel songs ?? so how about the Christian Rock or Christian metal music ??? is that also sinful if we are listening ??

Your friends sound very legalistic - listen, I listen to a ton or rock music that is "secular," big deal - nothing in any music is sinful, in fact it is just the opposite - music is an expression of a God-given gift, so all music, whether we personally like it or not, is a good thing - lyrically some songs may be negative and may suggest sinful things, but the lyrics themselves dont make the music sinful - i guess what it comes down to is what you are comfortable with, don't let someone else decide that for you, regardless of their intention - besides, a lot of lyrics that naive people view as "sinful" are very theological and much more oriented in a healthy worldview than sappy contemporary christian music - enough ranting, here's my short answer: rock music rocks (you might have to pick through some to find lyrics you approve of but that is the case no matter the genre of music- including christian material)

I love all of those bands too especially anything with Ozzy in it. But the truth be told any music that does not glorify God is sinful. You can get Christian rock that is awesome like Audio Adrenaline, Petra, just to name a couple.

NO I don not feel it is sinful to listen to rock music because I listen to it and I also go to church. Do they not make christian rock music these days for an alternative christian music and doesn't people think that is fine. So it is not sinful unless I am sinning.

Your friend probably listens to hip-hop and dance music, he is jealous of the power of rock, and tries to ban it by saying its the religious music of the bad people who'd like to live in hell. He's totally wrong, if only he knew the power of Rock and Metal when proper music ruled the air-waves, he wouldn't be saying that. Besides, a lot of Rock groups do Ballards, like me, you like KISS, they did a ballard called "Beth" which I'm sure you've heard.
Even God and Jesus listen to rock music, after all, KISS did a pretty good cover version of "God gave Rock and Roll to you" That pretty much self-explanitory about what type of music God prefers. And if you take a look at the painting of "The Last supper" the way Jesus has his hands clearly shows he's playing the Air-Guitar! (somethig a lot of us do behind closed doors!)
If anything, your friend's taste in music is going to be absolute crap if he says rock music is sinful! I pity him! And if he says that Rock music is sinful, then he isn't even worth your frienship!

Heavy metallic is a sort it rather is fixated on issues like violence homicide, suicide, drugs, satanism, paganism, hate, blaspheming Jesus Christ and Christianity, promiscuous intercourse alongside with S&M, and different darkish unfavourable matters...those are the matters. i be attentive to simply by fact I used to take heed to a pair of it. The sound itself is aggressive and has a tendency to stir the listener up, even deliver out emotions of anger and hate. Why do you think of human beings mosh to it? Lucifer himself grew to become into an angel with musical features (Isaiah 14:14 and Ezekiel 28:13). as quickly as he grew to alter into devil it may make sense for him to apply those features to evangelise his evil messages. Why else could the music be so anti-Christ? That on my own might desire to tell you it is sinful. in case you rather have self assurance in God and love Him, why could you opt to take heed to some thing that blasphemes Him? you are able to not drink the cup of the Lord and the cup of demons; you are able to not partake of the Lord’s table and of the table of demons. Or can we galvanize the Lord to jealousy? Are we extra suitable than He? a million Corinthians 10:21-22 Abstain from all visual allure of evil. a million Thessalonians 5:22

No, the world would be a better place if more people listened to rock music instead of going to war.

what is sin? is sin disliked by god? or is it disliked by god because its a sin?
well i have a question that proves god is not real - god - omnipident, omnicient, + the other one
can god create a wal so high he cant jump it? - if he can then he is not omnipident, because he cant jump it in contrast if he cant then he is not omnipident because he cant make it - there for there is no god - there for there is no sin
its only a sin if you believe he exists - rock music is simply sound. is it a sin to listen to country? folk? soul? jazz etc? they are all just sounds - so no it is not a sin in that respect either

Not if you're selective about the songs that you like. There's some excellant music in the hard rock world that doesn't have to be trashy.

Depends who you ask, or what faith you practice. I once went with a friend to Bible camp. All music, except worship music was considered sinful (a bit of an overkill in my opinion, but to each their own).
