If you're asking for that at 14 yr old the situation already could be irreversible. In fact I guess that from the infancy passing for the adolescence any boy should have a lot of friends and some play as fun, aside from the study. It's absurd to hear about a boring life from a teenager's mouth while today the whole world is made for children functions and oriented to their fun (sports, game, Tv, films, books, toys, etc. etc.) Evidently there is something missing or wrong in the family or in the same boy!

When I was 14 I used to be in theatre. It was so much fun. I felt important and also discovered alot of my skills. I became really popular and was having the time of my life! I earned self confidence and my self worth was way up! Theatre was awesome :) Try to find something that will work for you. It may be sports, singing, dancing, even website making! Whatever it is, as long as you have a passion for it.. go for it :) I'm sure you'll succeed! And life will be alto more meaningful.
And dont forget to worship God while you're at it :)

My brother is 14. I have to say, it is a horrible age! Well that is when your his 17year old sister. His answer to everything seems to be 'I dunno'.
My brother enjoys surfing the best. He also likes other sports, so maybe get him enrolled in a new team sport.
If he likes the outdoors, I suggest scouts. I've been involved for almost 6years now and i've learned so many useful skills and made so many great friends.
We recently got a new puppy. This has definitly added value to mine and my brothers life. She's great. But don't buy a puppy if you can't look after it.
I hope i helped!

Why not try to get him involved in a sport or hobby! Some things I and my brother enjoyed were hockey, soccer, baseball, skiing, snowboarding, volleyball, golf, painting, go carts and model cars. Introduce him to a few things and see what he likes, then encourage him to take lessons or jion a team. Most of these things also involve a group if other kids so will provide him a chance to meet a bunch of other kids who have similar interests aswell.

Find time (what little time there may be) and use it to do something meaningful to him. Some people like sports, other like the arts; what does he like? What are his interests? Let him follow his heart, provided he does not want to do anything that would be a danger to himself or others---let him find the meaning to his life.
