My names Sarah, and there is always someone else in my class with that name. I am use to it now but do any of you think its annoying. If you've got an unusual name do you like it?

When I was a kid I wanted to be named Sarah. I even gave all my dolls that name. (really no joke) I wanted a normal name cause I thought mine was unusual. So there are both sides to the coin

My name is Elena and it is quite common in Bulgaria - even on the news announced that Elena, Maria(my sister's name) and some other names are the most common now.Once I was in a class where there were 3 girls named Elena besides me.One day when the teacher said "Now the problem will be solved by...Elena" it became quiet,we all stayed at our seats and someone just asked "Which one?".We all burst out laughing.
But what helped me a lot is that in the USA and in other countries which I'd like to live in one daymy name is not common and I will be with 'unique' and beautiful name.And don't forget - the person makes the name.If you are a cool person who is always happy and always a good friend,the name Sarah will be so liked by your friends.

My name is Jeni, and for the longest time, I HATED the fact that EVERYONE spelled it wrong. I would tell them how to spell it, but everyone would spell it Jenni anyway (and they still do for my bills and such), they think they heard me wrong maybe?
As I have gotten a little older, I've learned to appreciate the spelling a little more, I am a very unique person, so I've learned to like the fact my name is common....but just a little different.
Still annoys the crap out of me when people say my name in the Forrest Gump voice though, or quote lines from the movie using my name. :P

I'd rather have a name that everyone can spell and pronounce than some of the made up and distorted rubbish I have seen in recent years. I hate when people take a normal name like Louise and change if to Lerwheiiezze just to be different.

I went all the way through school with some one whose first name was Kelly and the first three letters of her last name were the same as mine. So we always ended up sitting next to each other. Then I dated a guy named Kelly. Then a kid named Kelly got killed in a car wreck at our school....but it never really bothered me.
I even gave my daughter a common name.

Kind of. I like being unique. My name is Rabaab, its an arabian name which is not very common. I once knew a girl at college with the same name and it annoyed me cuz i didnt want some1 else having my name :)

My name's Kelly and I grew up in the 70's & 80's whenever every other girl and the occasional boy was named Kelly.
I hated it. I wasn't very popular so every time someone yelled out "Kelly" it wasn't me. It got so bad that I stopped answering to my name, because usually the few people who talked to me sought me out.
I have a small immediate family, so they'd just talk to me without calling my name. And I have a huge extended family with very few people around my age so they generally ignored me. It's taken me years to even feel like it's my name, and it still sounds strange to hear people say it.

Hey Sarah well my real name is Jade n there is a chick in most of class named Jade so ppl call me by my last name or sometimes my first not many ppl call me by my first name so ask ppl to call u by ur last name it might work it did for me.

my name is kelly and i think that there was 5 of us in my graduating class so we all had to go by our last initial and now i work with a girl named kelly so it's like where ever i go someone has the same name as me!! my boyfriend even works with a guy named kelly.....yeah i did think that it was annoying all the time growing up i wished that my parents would've given me a name not so common
but even though i hated it growing up i did the same thing to my son his name is ethan and it seems like anywhere we go there is a little one named ethan running around

My name is Claire, and going on the name spelling thing, it doesn't annoy me so much having a common name, but everyone spells it wrong!!!! Even my aunt still spells it wrong, and I'm 29!!! I get clare, clair, and wait for it . . . .Clayre????!!!!!!
Soooooooooooo annoying! So I picked out names for my 3 sons that CANT be spelt wrong, so now people annoy me by shortening their names, or adding bits on to totally change them (ie son #1 is Blake, people call him Blako or Blakey) WHY!! His name is BLAKE!!! Can't win!
