When I was younger I could fall in love very easily. Then when I reached 23 years old I kind of set myself up for a big burn. I have never let anyone get close to me since. I had a few miscues and a short fling but I never really opened up after that. My view is that if I were to ever fall in love again it would be with somebody that understands how I am and understands what it is like to be alone for a long time. I could never throw my heart out to a complete stranger. I am too fragile, too sensitive and in the same sense very rational. Some people I know can find love with ease yet I wonder if it is really love? Perhaps I make it more complicated that it needs to be.

Well I wear my heart on my sleeve and I'm a nice guy, I'd give you the shirt off my back, so I'd say too easy.

Not very easy. I have been hurt so many times because I used to carry my heart on my sleeve.

I don't do that anymore...that is to me the wrong way to love since you become dependant of the other one to be happy & alive! I can still LOVE someone but I no longer forget aobut myself so my heart will always stay in me...That is why when people break up, they feel a part of their soul is leaving too, Cause they gave them a part of it!

i've been hurt so many times and u'd think i'd learn from that - NOT...
I have given away my heart quite easily over the past years.. but now well i slowed down and fortunately the guy i am with right now is spectacular and i dont regret giving him my heart at all...

It's not easy at all, but I find myself surprised when I find that I have, which isn't very often. I think that it's best to be surprised because then you know it is real and not something you've manufactured. Does that make sense?

The thing is with me, if you can get passed my defence system, and i start to trust you, its very easy from then on, cuz i care way too much than is good for me.
