Looks like someone keyed my brand new car, while I was at school, any ideas for trying to remove it without paying an arm& leg?

try a tin of touch up paint and then t-cut to blend it in. if its a new car the colour should be easier to match up

Get it mechanically buffed, that should take the worst out. Go down a car show room and ask if they'll do it for free (mine did)

DO NOT TRY TO TOUCH IT UP, it'll just look crap.

Otherwise you might have to bight the bullet and get the whole panel replaced, it's almost impossible to match the paint again (new paint jobs can always be spotted under sodium lights, street lights are sodium lights so use them to check how good a match new paint jobs are).

T-cut may help to an extent, but I'd get it buffed first.
