My answers for you:

A1. Chinatown shopping mall (People's Park Complex) includes Kim Bian Hong Goldsmith, Poh Heng Jewellery *Old & Famous, Best, Authentic Jewellery shop*. Poh Heng is 1 of the old, reowned goldsmith shops in Singapore, selling authentic gold jewelleries since the early days.

A2. Go to Singapore Zoological Gardens as it is interesting and their upcoming events revolves around Chinese Zodiacs, featuring the little zoo animals as the main characters. There are also fast food restaurants & convenient stores located inside the zoo, so in case you need to buy food or mineral water.
Visit http://www.zoo.com.sg for more details.

A3. Max allowance per day: $40/per person (incld meals & transportation), Min allowance per day: $25/per person (incld meals & transportation).
You must gauge your expenses as I don't know if you'll be spending most of your money on restaurants and taxi or not. However, if you're taking normal public transportation & hawker centres, your travelling & meal expenses should be within my expectation allowance as indicated for you.

A4. By taking a Cable car from Mount Faber in the evening or night time, you can see almost 30% of the coastline in Singapore. I'm sure the nightview will capture your heart & soul away. Be sure to bring along your digicam to take great shots of Singapore's nightview.

1. Geylang and Little India

2. There're lots of different species of birds at the bird park and it's really interesting to see them. There're some aviaries where you can walk through with birds flying around you and it's quite awesome. I love the aviary with "lories" in them. You can purchase bird food for them. They'll fly right up to your hand at the sight of the food.
Zoo & night safari are just across each other but have different set of animals in them. Obviously the animals which are more awake at night are at the safari.
Personally I prefer the zoo with the exception of the lories at the Bird Park.

3. You can purchase an EZlink card which can be used aboard the MRT and buses at any MRT station. This helps get you rebates especially if you use 2 or more modes to get to your destination. Food can be bought everywhere at reasonable prices.

1. You can try at Little India. Becoz u're a foreigner, be prepared to pay more anyway.
2. Personally, I would recommend the zoo.
3. If you eat at our famous hawker centres (S$2 for a plate of chicken rice) and travel by bus (min. rate is S$0.90 if you're paying cash). If you're travelling a lot, it'll make sense for you to buy a stored value card called EZ Link Card. You can get this card from any MRT station and please note that cards sold over the counter are sold at $15 inclusive of $5 card cost, $3 travel deposit and $7 stored value.
4. For more ideas of what to do, you can check out our Uniquely Singapore website on what else to do. Try to come during the festive seasons so you can see more interesting stuff.
