When hell freezes over!!! I hope you guys can wait that long.
Here are some statistics:
Sorry: India is not a superpower, and in fact, that is probably the wrong ambition for it, anyway. Why? Let me answer in the form of some statistics.
47 percent of Indian children under the age of five are either malnourished or stunted.
The adult literacy rate is 61 percent (behind Rwanda and barely ahead of Sudan). Even this is probably overstated, as people are deemed literate who can do little more than sign their name.
Only 10 percent of the entire Indian labor force works in the formal economy; of these fewer than half are in the private sector.
The enrollment of six-to-15-year-olds in school has actually declined in the last year. About 40 million children who are supposed to be in school are not.
About a fifth of the population is chronically hungry; about half of the world's hungry live in India.
More than a quarter of the India population lives on less than a dollar a day.
India has more people with HIV than any other country.

Possibly not this century!
India is being led by the nose by despots who only have slef gain and self imposed power in mind. They really have no interest in the good of the country only the good of themsleves.
At one time it was the empire sucking the blood of India Now it has become Indians canabalizing India. All the so called employment taken to your shores to supposedly help the economy is actually harming it. You are being used as suckers for the world becausde you will work for a pittance or the proverbial bowl of rice.
The morals oof your country are also being exploited. Sex selling of your children boys and girls has to cease.
Developing military might for what? Paki bashing again? What a wste or resources!
Your once fine hotels and transport system falls further and further into decay because no maintenance is being done on them. Contracts for aviation flow into india,b ut does the western world traveller trust your maintenance short cut cheap labor NO! and soon airtravel will fall away and you will lose those contracts, because your work ethics are not up to standard.
So no India is not destined to become a super power. She has no welfare system for the poor, no real employment prospects of long lasting value and has lost the gleam of attraction to tourists because of the abject poverty, begging and unsanitary conditions outside its main hotels.
