you don't ovulate more than one day. the exact moment of the ovulation is only some seconds. before your egg is ready to ovulate is will take some days for maturation, then it grows and changes in shape.

You are fertile for a few days but you only ovulate only one day. Go to http://www.mymonthlycycles.com and put in your period info and it will calculate when you will be fertile and ovulating. It is a free and helpful site to use.

3-4 days on average.
Sperm can live for about 2 days in the tubes so if you get the timing right you could be in luck.
Another trick is to lie down after sex, it helps the the sperm get to the egg!
