Because that is how he forms your character. Just like the fire tempers steel, lifes tribulations tempers the soul and builds character. If God showed up at your every whim there would be no challenge left for you. Does a Dad show up for his son's algebra exam? Same deal. But the Dad corrects his son's deficiencies later. Hence God replies but not when you feel it is urgent. If he replied any earlier you would become a lazy slob and that would stunt your spiritual growth.

Timing is probably the most important aspect. Who knows, maybe there is a lesson to be learned or other reason. At any rate-Ben Franklin put it best, "God helps those, who help themselves." Clauwitz also stated, "God is usually on the side of whoever has the biggest army." In other words, depend on your self first, seek to solve the problems that you face and look to God for the problems that you cannot seem to overcome. Don't sweat the small stuff and focus on the big picture instead. Perspective and getting it will help out a bit. God isn't something that we can haul out of a box when we need Him, He is much too large for that. There is a book, that seemed to help me get a grasp on this. It was written by a Rabbi and is called, "Your God is Too Small." Read it and see if it answers your question.

I believe God is always listening. It's when we're struggling that we feel the lack of God's presence because we are the ones lacking faith. It's easy to fall into the pit of thinking that we need God at that point to give us something, but the truth is that God is not a genie and what we need is faith. It may even feel like we're being tested by God, but in fact it is the other way around. I've learned during these rough times to ask God to help me strengthen my faith. I'm always led back to finding strength in the things I do have control over, giving to others instead of wanting or needing, and caring when I least want to. Especially in the toughest times, I find that giving leads me to what I truly need: to be faithful and loving. It's hard to accept our own weakness and lack of control during painful periods in our lives. God's plan for us is larger than we can see, so we have to trust in it. Hope this helps!

The Advaitha siddhanta says that Atma and Paramatma are
the same. A piece of that Paramatma is present in your body
as Atma. Human beings are the highest among all creation -
Paramatma is above creation. It is to eneble you to discover
your own power that you are left on your own during the times
of crisis. You are supposed to do Antaraatma Sodhana -
listening to what your Atma in your heart says. It is necessarily
a difficult task. You did not learn walking in a day when you
were a child - it took much time. It will take much longer
in this spiritual task. You will certainly succeed in the end -
the creation has made all of us that way.

Man you are completly out of tune, God has no obligation to answer. You look for answers with in you and your actions and thoughts and on top of all that your Karm.
If you need an answer, listen to others and heed attention to them, you would start getting your answers.
Only people in isolation and selfish attitude have this issue, dude.
Wake up!

You never know what's best for you and you never know how God actually handles your bad or urgent situation indirectly.
Imagine that every single wish or prayer that every single person prayed came true, who would be the ruler of the universe then: humans or God?
"Be careful what you wish for" :)

One night a man dreamed, that he was walking along the beach with the Lord, across the sky flashed scenes from his life, for each scene, he noticrd two sets of footprints, one belonging to him and the other to the lord, When the last scene of his life flashed before him, he looked back at the footprints, he noticed, that many times along the path of life, there was only one set of footprints, he also noticed that this happened at the very lowest and the saddest time of his life. This bothered him and he questioned the lord about it: Lord, you said, that once I decided to follow you, you would walk with me all the way, but I have noticed, that during the most troublesome times in my life, there is only one set of footprints, I don't understand why, when I needed you most, You should leave me. The Lord replied: " My son, I love you and I would never leave you, during your times of trial, when you have seen only one set of footprints, it was then that I carried you!

Because god was created to give the poor something to believe in. In the famous words of Napoleon "Religion is what keeps the poor from murdering the rich."

sweetie, god keeps listening to us 24x7. he does not respond immediately coz, He wants us to learn how to manage the situation. and when it gets out of hand, He helps, isnt it. it is all for a good reason. He does only what is good for his children. if He keeps responding for every call, then there wont be anything special and significant like Him. you feel the brunt and learn to be patient only when the network doesnt reach ryte?!
