Atheism :is it caused by lack of logic & mind?

Question

Everyone sees the disposition,adjustment,neatness in nature , creatures an the universe.
Clever people believe that there is an authority & power to handle these things.
Atheists believe they, these all happen to be by "themselves & coincidences."
Isnt it the same ;
"You see a machine but deny its craftsman and claim it existed by coincidences"

Dear Massacre;
I am not talking about Bible or any Holy Book .It is a different subject.
But my point is to aim some people's logic or mind directly, without referring to any book or religion.

Different people have differing concepts of what is logical and what isn't. I think most believers must have their moments of doubt--I think that's even addressed many times in the Bible.

However we come back to our beliefs because we believe them to be well-founded for the very reasons you describe.

It is not caused by a lack of logic and mind, but by a failure to see the evidences that believers see that justifies their faith in God.

I have many friends who are atheists. We remain friends under one condition. I do not attempt to change them into believers and they don't attempt to change me into an atheist.

Much of faith is acceptance of the fact that there are unsolved mysteries in the universe, and this is exactly why a belief in God makes sense.

I am agnostic liberal and a democrat living in Colorado springs and they say they are the ones on the attack please the reason I read the bible is to create a conclusion after I analyze the script so I know why most the evangelicals where I live are so not all of them but blind and narrow minded THATS why I don’t put people down but where I live this is my onion not trying to be offensive but nothing makes since all the stuff in there is so ill logical and not making since the book makes the whole god theory irrelevant not to mention there is no hard evidence.. Like when birds came before humans but if they’re where no humans to name the birds then how does that work that’s illogical right there. And when they say allot of people lived for many centuries does it mean on our colander they lived for 900 typical western cycles or a primitive yearly schedule witch moved much faster I would think as medicine got better witch they didn’t have modern medicine you would live longer but in Egypt 5000 years ago maximum age lived to was 48
So how is it possible they lived for 900 years in some cases and 1024 in others? It is illogical and pushing human biological capabilities it said also water covered the whole planet! Then if that’s true it would of gone above Everest and that’s almost 30000 feet and you need a oxygen tank around 18-20 k feet so they all would of blacked out and suffocated...there are many things in biblical prophecies that do not make since rendering the story ill probable and illogical unless for the last two the biological structure of humans where much different and humans where to say super human and could with stand such things and I think it is observe that we know with hard facts that there are a un calculable amount of planets in the universe and it says god created our solar systems planets and life and the whole universe in 7 days but what about the other planets! Another thing making it illogical it could not logically and is not a probable story...just isn’t.

Creation is regardless of what one can do with freewill. To answer your question, no. Religion is passed on by parents on to their children cause if they don't they go to hell. Personaly I was raised Catholic but I don't agree with some of the dogma's policies and I don't believe in hell. I don't need motivation to be a good person. My god loves me, everyone I love, and those who love me. He doesn't want to punish me for my sins, he wants me to learn from my wrong-doing. Now this doesn't fall into any religion but it doesn't mean I'm atheist or even agnostic. Science has also come a very long way and it's clear that Earth was not created in 7 days. God doesn't get tired EVER!!! About Atheism well their parent were Atheists and that's the end of it. Freewill of the heart is smarter than anything. And every once in a while have some pride in being part of the human race. After all a man created the machine right?

ask in religions...more helpful. and i don't know about that. i think that they just don't believe but they are no lesser than anyone else....they can be logical, coherent and intelellectual individuals. i have friends that are atheist and i'm christian. they dont like religious doctrine at all.

I'm an Atheist and I don't believe that they all just happened, I just don't beleive in God and all that other religious stuff... Just cause I'm Atheist doesn't mean I don't believe in anything!!!!

P.S, to the chappy below me. my mother was actually a catholic, but she allowed me to choose for myself instead of trying to make me live my life the way that she wanted me to. And I will always be indebted to her for that.
