iron burn marks on clothes?

Question

my partner burnt something on the iron and not realizing i tried to iron my new top and now there is a mark is there anyway that i can get it off my top?

Success has never happened for me with removing scorching, however I went searching for you and found this suggestion at;

Light burn marks can be removed by placing a dampened cloth with vinegar over the stain. Iron with hottest setting possible for the fabric.
