Pondichery is not on the main line. It's much easier if to go to Villupuram and catch a passenger. There are three trains with two departing from Villupuram between 2PM and 3 PM. So, catch a train that reaches Villupuram by 12 PM.
Use irctc.co.in for online booking. You just have to create an id there.

Yes Pondichery- Bhubaneshwar Express. Weekly once. Check for timings and ticket http://www.indianrail.gov.in/ . I have gone on this train.

Tried searching a lot but was unable to get some really ralevant information.however the website indianrail.gov.in should be able to solve your query and that too is should give you all the information on other railway enquires too.

yes my dear a direct train from bhubaneswar to pondichery which run on tuesday only depature time 11.40 arrival pondy next day 13.35. train number is 2898 for your information
