we have not had school all week. my daughter any way. it was 19 below 0 this morning in michigan. what was it like where you are?

It's gotten to 7 below and the schools in my county have only closed for one day. They're always like that. It's amazing they haven't been sued yet. I personally don't go to school anymore being 21 and all and a college drop-out. But if I did, I wouldn't go to school in bad weather whether it was officially closed or not.

My kids don't have school today, but not because of the cold (it is bllody freezing, though!). We got a text message from school last night telling us that there was a gas leak in the school and it would be closed til Thursday. Lucky buggers!

Our school would rarely have snow days so one time when it was snowing there was like a mm of snow on the path i needed to go so as any teenager knows that path is completely covered with snow that you cant walk through so i managed to have the day off asleep in bed.

Low teens, then up to about 20 here on Long Island, NY. Glad the wind finally died down! Wind chills were close to zero. Still balmy compared to your neck of the woods!

I had once....long time ago. Here now is a snow surprise, the news said a light dusting and it looks to me like there is a good 6 inches already

its been below zero here too. i kinda like it cause my niece lives with me and i am the one that wakes up to get her ready to go in the morning. time to sleep in. im just about as exited as the kids.
