Currently it has been proved that finance and banking domain is the most booming domain considering the career in IT and software. After 15 years, also, there will be no end for the banking/finance domain for the software.
Similarly what will be the future telecom domain? We have voice mail, VOIP now, what will be next enhancement? if today some body joined as fresh engineer in software in Telecom domain then will that person can grow in this domain after 20 years?

The problem is, nobody can predict what's going to happen. Can you imagine MySpace several years ago? How about YouTube? Computer/Software/Internet is still a very young industry. Those people who made a difference and leave their name in the history book still live among us. As a result, this industry is changing very fast. It is difficult to predict "the next big thing"

well VoIP is the next big thing in the industry i'm also an engineer in the same indutry but u need to have a specialization if you really want to grow in this industry
