Many of my asian brothers and sisters know what I am talking about. You are trying to go on your fav kpop singer's site but they wont let you in the site unless you have the citizenship number. And your own SSN won't do; you have to be a freaking S. Korean citizen. It's just unfair. It's just some music site, why'd they have to ask for such important infomation? It's not like we are gonna open a bank account or something.

What are your guys thoughts of this situation?

Well ! I feel your pain. But they will not using Resident's registration number after this year. According to Korean ministry of information and communication, Korea Information Certification Authority will give out new number to each applicant after they verified information. I just hope they will give the number to people outside of Korea.
