I read a story a few years ago, but need some oppinons.
It was redone on a believe or not show but i missed if it was true or not.
In 1903 or so, a young woman and her mother were coming to Paris from India where she had burried her husband after he got the black plague.
everything seemed all right, and this was during a world's fair.

The woman is confused and since she has no key with her, she can only offer a room number, and a desciption of who she is.
He refuses to say that he recognizes her and she demands a police man's help.
Pier says there is one outiside and he comes in. Whne she demands to see her room, they all three go to it.
However instead of her mother answering, a older man appears. She looks around the room and everything is different. All her clothes, items, wall paper and furniture have changed or are gone.
The officer ends up offering her a ride to the station to sort it out.
It is said many years later Pier spilled his guts on his death bed.
When the doctor saw the molther, he knew immedately she had the black plague. Wanting to get the daughter away, he wrote a prescription for colored water on a note, and asked the cab driver to take his time. The Police Officer was even in on it, and they
