Tips For Presenting Your Marketing Plan

Most network marketing companies have a compensation plan that gives incentives for sponsoring or registering new distributors or associates. Similar to a franchise model in which the corporation can open up new outlets, you, as a network marketing professional can open up new outlets as well. The meeting in which you show your potential associates the marketing plan is one of the most important skills that you must develop. Practice is the most effective way of getting better. However, to help you speed up the process here are some tips that have shown to be effective when presenting your marketing plan.

1. Focus on the future – Whether you are working with a large company that has been around for decades or a small one that has lots of promise it is important to focus on where the company is going more than where the company has been. If you talk too much about past success people might feel as if they have missed out. You must show them that NOW is the best time to start a business because of where the company is going.

2. Set them at ease – Talk about yourself. Where you grew up, went to school, went to college, etc. Talk about your fist job and maybe your career outside of your network marketing business. You want people to be able to relate to you. Throw in some funny stories from your past.

3. Talk about what your old career was missing – Talk about how you didn’t want your boss’s job. Talk about why you wanted to change your life’s direction and start your own business. Your prospects have the same complaints you did even if they don’t talk about it. The more you can explain why you were looking for an opportunity the more your prospects will start to take your side.

4. Talk about LIFESTYLE – Talk about your upline mentors and their lifestyle. Talk about how they live and the freedom they have. Your audience needs to know what kind of rewards are ahead for them if they will commit to building a business of their own within your company.
.
5. Talk about the advantages of business ownership – Give people the reasons whey they should be starting their own business. Remember that most people are employees and so you should demonstrate how the tax laws are written for the business owners and not the employees. Talk about how the wealthiest people are almost always business owners and investors, not employees.

6. Mention the money available but talk more about what that money could do for them. -- People ultimately want to know how much money they can make. You should give them the numbers, but be sure to talk more about what that money could do for them. If you mention that at a certain level they could make $1000/month, talk about how that would be enough to pay for a new car or a better apartment, or maybe just a good family vacation if they saved it for a few months. People can relate to these things and you might be providing a solution to a big problem for them.

Presenting your business plan is also one of the scariest things to do when you are first starting out. Just remember that your first one will always be your worst one, so just get out there and get it over with! The more you present, the more confident you will become and the higher your sponsoring rate will soar. It’s all about repetition. Good luck! Each one of these ideas is critical to your success. It’s also a good idea to check out some of the other resources available at mlmachiever.com They have some good articles and resources that cover the basics of building a solid network marketing business.

To be truthful, I'm not even sure of your question!

First of all you say that companies like Avon, amway, etc., provide invaluable training. I'm a sales manager, and spend a good amount of my time giving training seminars, and aiding people in becoming more proficient in sales. My comment to that is to say that's debatable...

They are very good at creating hype, and conditionally giving you tools toward building an organization --their organization!

Your original question, you are asking whether or not direct marketing is necessary for personal development. No, certainly not, It's about as necessary as learning to change spark plugs to help you ride a bicycle.

Personal development is a very broad topic, and covers myriad subjects. Direct marketing is rather narrow in focus as it may relate to a skill set.

I suppose, if you wanted to look at direct marketing as a way of building confidence, then you could correltate personal development to direct marketing, but there are better and more direct ways of building one's confidence than paying to get into Amway.

But other than that, I just don't see it.

Direct marketing helps gain confidence and improves ability to talk. But in the beginning it can be very difficult.
