Yup. I often tell people I have three children. They are 4, 7, and 30 years old.

Men are lazy, cranky, attention seeking and self-centred. I keep trying to correct this in me, but I can't. It must just be genetic. However, I have learned one thing that makes my married life smooth as butter. When I am happy and content in myself, when I ask for nothing from the people in my family, then everyone else is happy. Just being a positive male presence is enough for my wife to feel energized to cook and clean, and for my son to be creative or do his homework. No drinking, no zoning in front of the TV, just being there and being happy helps the home be happy. I am the patriarch watching over things, making sure everything is taken care of.

Something to think about....

he's not yet my husband (fiance) but he definitely is!!!
i really dont mind, it keeps him happy and makes me laugh most of the time. he carries his skateboard in his car, is a serious gamer and i dont mind doing all those things with him. plus i know my kid/s will at least have a willing playmate once i'm a mom. its nice to have someone who isnt always 100% mature... someone who'll carry you on his shoulder in the mall if you say you feel faint, who will goad you into getting into the trolley etc/
it seems such a joy being a male because half the time women are so concerned with doing everything thats right and makes them look good when being care free makes you so much happier... I'd love for him to remain a big child for as long as he can, i dont mind looking after him... it brings me joy (",)

I think he likes to buy toys like chainsaws and things he can work with. So yes I guess he is a little kid. He gets what he wants most of the time.

I agree with JD. That's what I say too. However, he brings home the bacon, so I try to show my appreciation in a more grown up way than stickers and candy.
