Are they allowed to make bets with the student and then keep harrasing the student until the bet is paid??
If not what can you do to stop the teacher.
(It doesnt have to be a monetary bet, it could be food ,candy, etc...)

I don't think that there is any specific rule forbidding it. On the other hand, entering into a private arrangement with a student, whether a bet or anything else, is not advisable. Having said that, harassing a student for non-payment is totally unacceptable.

Better give a specific here to get a real answer. If a teacher is betting candy on a horse race, I'd say there's a problem. If some sort of academic bet was made, tell us about it; this question doesn't ring true.

well they can bet about learning things in the school but things that are not related to education can be beted on outside the school . but check your school cateloge if thats alowed and if the teacher is harrasing you than tell the princable and the teachers but will be kicked out the school

personally i think so.
why? because if the student makes the bet, he or she should be decent enough to hold up to his or her end of it.
never make a bet you cant win. if you lose, always pay your debts. i think the teacher should be allowed to harass the student who owes him, because the student will learn that there are concequences. you can't make a 200 dollar bet in real life and just expect that the guy is going to forget about it.
