Yes and in fact you could live for years without electricity.
In your grandparent or more likely your great grandparent's youth, most people did live without electricity and made do very well.
You would find it easier to do without the blessings of electrical appliances such as radio, television, lights and heat, blankets and skillets if you moved to a desert island for the month and lived as the cave people did, but you could also survive if you had courage and fortitude in your penthouse apartment.
During the depression years following the 1929 stock market crash...many families did live without electricity even though it was a much cheaper utility than it is now because they had to either pay the electric bill or feed the kids and the kids won out.

I have done that for 7 months and it was kind of hard but nice to.If i had to do it all the time I would want a wood cook stove a self peddling sewing machine and i would make a washing machine with a wooden agitator and a handle to turn and a hand cranked roller to wring out the clothes. Can always hang them up. I would more then likely enjoy a more simple life style. But would like a cooler summer. My grandmother lived her whole life without it. She had a spring house she used as a refrigerator and a orchard and all she needed. I loved going to her house.

If I had time to prepare, yes. I live in the Santa Cruz Mountains of central California, and we get power outages fairly often in the winter, when redwood snags (dead branches that have gotten stuck in the lower branches when they break off) come down in a storm and pull down power lines. So we deal with no electricity periodically, but the real nuisance is that it is unexpected. If you know ahead of time, you can get ice for your food storage, fuel for your food cooking, and plenty of candles and lamp oil. You can get an extra supply of batteries for such as will run on batteries, put in a supply of firewood, and so on. It's not so bad when you are ready for it.

A few years ago our power was out for 4 days due to snow. I could not use my blow dryer, washer, dryer, furnace, etc. I don't think I could go one month without electric! I've grown to used to this luxury!

Yes, but would need time to prepare.......Install a coal or wood cook stove, build an outhouse, dig a root cellar, dig a shallow well or find spring water.,get some kerosene lamps., batteries for radio and a near by grocery store for fresh foods and a wash board, large galvanized tub for bathing and laundry and a clothesline for drying laundry outdoors. I think I could make it.

Normally, yes, but I am disabled now, so I am not as sure. Electricity makes my life so much safer and better. It might be a rough transition at first, but I suppose it could be arranged.

It would be more difficult.
But if we have a day where no one in the world uses electricity it would be so cool.]
Except the fact that everyone will try to steal off otheres.

I am sure that it is possible but not in snow country where the winds are howling and the snow keeps piling up.
You need some kind of appliance to cook food and some place to take a shower...

Yes. I did it for 6 months during King George Bush the First's excursion into Iraq. It will make you really appreciate all the things we take for granted.
