People always make historically innaccurate movies about other cultures. I think steven spielburg should go to jail with him. Mel Gibson es un cabron de mienda. He´s racist, conservative, and conquering. People like that don´t belong in the film industry. Start a boycott, with the reasons why, and try to spread the word against the movie. Good luck though, because they will still watch the movie and think it is a reliable piece of info.

now the world just knows that Mel Gibson had absolutely no idea of mayan history and culture because his movie is soooo historically inaccurate.

Can you please add as to how Gibson's Apocalypto is inaccurate when it is inspired by such ancient Mayan texts as the Popul Vuh and consulted by world-renowned archeologist and Mayan culture expert Dr. Richard D. Hansen.
I personally liked the movie and would like to be enlightened about its inaccuracies since Popul Vuh is mythology of sorts like other scriptures.

I have a far better question. WHY can't people give Mel a break for making one mistake, NOT a bad film and turn on Michael Richards who made an even worse mistake????????????

It's rather ironic that you would want to ban ONE American citizen from working in your country. I think Mr. Gibson procured all the necessary paperwork and did everything within the law.

Americans make horrible WWII films all the time, about how they single handedly saved the world from Hitler. but we don't ban them from our shores, do we. He made a film. people liked it. Get over it.
