Happened all of a sudden today. And they are not cheap rings, rather expensive ones in fact. My diamond ring (engagement) and another 3 stone diamond ring. All of a sudden looked at my hands today and both were dark colored on my ring fingers and part of the fingers that touch the rings on the other fingers.

There are salts in our bodies that are excreted through sweat and they react with certain metals..even precious metals such as gold..and that can discolor your fingers..green and sometimes black, it just depends on what metal this gold is mixed with. I.e. 14K gold is not just gold it is mixed with other non so precious metals (to make it harder, more sturdier and cheaper of course) they can discolor your fingers. After normal wear and tear some of the other metals mixed into your ring are exposed and are causing your salts from your skin to react with the metal leaving a "colorful" not so flattering residue..So nothing to worry about..

Try using baby oil on it 2 times a day. It will eventually fade and go away . For future reference..if you are going to wear fake rings...paint the inside of the ring's band (that touches your skin...with clear nail polish and let it dry completely You may have to do this about every 2 weeks but your fingers wont turn green.

it happened with my wedding ring at first too....i was told by a few different jewelers that it could be the coating that they put on the ring to make it sparkle and shin in the display case...if anything is coming off your rings then yes somethings wrong...but its normal...just clean them.

Might have cost a lot, but i reckon you were gyped! This is usually a cheap metal that has reacted with a detergent or some chemical you have used. Good quality gold or silver does not discolor
