Just because you disagree with what the gov't is doing does not make you any less of a patriot then the next. Thats what makes America great, freedom of speech! Everybody has a right to their own opinion! Although some are very clouded at this point and time!

We have the right to disagree, we have freedom of speech. We can do this without getting our heads cut off by the government. Right now , we are not a communist country. Is this not worth defending your country for. We all can find something to disagree with what the government does or says, but the final proof of being a patriot is to be proud of your country and defend it.

Patriotism means believing in the ideals of your country, and calling someone out when they are being hypocrites to those ideals. However, there is a difference between that, and trolling and name calling. There is a way to call someone out without being stupid yourself.

Americans have a right to speak out on issues, whether from the left, middle of the road, or from the right. That's what makes us all patriots and patriotic. It wouldn't be a democracy if we didn't have differing views. Being patriotic is being active, functional Americans, and being opinionated is what we do best.

Patriotism is love and dedication to one's country. Who in the hell can tell one that is wrong or that someone is not a patriot?

Completely senseless.

No, but I believe if one has a problem with the way things are going, then instead of just name calling and insults, they should come up with a workable solution that is not just crazy. For instance, some say we should just leave Iraq now. That is not workable and is crazy. The place would fall apart. This would be a disaster for the U.S. The economy of the richest oil nations affects us greatly. We would be in big trouble economically with an Iraq (and eventually Middle East region) in turmoil with civil strife and war. Gas and Oil prices would go sky high (much higher than they have ever been) which would cause poverty, homelessness and crime to a scale we have never seen in the continental U.S.

No. You only want what's best for your country. So if you say your country is right when in fact it's wrong, it's blind patriotism. It's not a good thing, and almost always would cause war.

No, patriotism on my view, is to love your country and your people for their history and their accomplishment. I am very patriotic. I love my people, I love my country but I hate the politics over there, there is a long story of corruption that have made the population, the biggest victims of those administration.
I have learned to separate a minority of its majority. It's just a fraction of us, whom are corrupted and miserable, the rest, are good working people whom have become victims of this small, but powerful part of our society.
If something isn't right, we don't have to agree with that just to support our love for this or that, plus, whom really loves someone, will never support this person to the wrong. Most people support something wrong if that is not concerned to them or if they don't care. When someone is deeply involved with something or someone else, is most likely not to support anything wrong, because its results or damages will affect them too in the future. No one likes to suffer or see someone we love suffering, even thou, our own country. If your govern is doing something wrong, don't support it. Take good care of your country by showing your patriotism on not supporting a wrong administration that is leading your country and your people to wrong. Don't allow anyone, even your president to screw your country and people, for me, that is being patriotic.
