These items are extremely heavy due to the bricks inside them - is it possible to easily remove/refit the bricks, are they removed via the back panel or the front?

The bricks are below the inner FRONT panel, stacked in 2 or 3 colums behind and in front of the elements, usually removing the front bricks makes them light enough to move.

The first answer is a good one but don't forget that when you relocate them they should have the wiring safely extended as they are working from a separate Economy 7 tariff and could be be on a different circuit.

Some older storage heaters contain asbestos so be careful.
