my friends has recently bought a Macbook and i have been asking him about it and he says the every 4 or so weeks that you( in general) have to get a apple person to come to your house and check out your mac he used the word "reboot" (but he dosent know a lot about this type of stuff) is thsi true or once you buy it thats it

I do not own a MAC, but as I own a computer repair business I can tell you that I think someone is taking your friend for a ride. I have never heard of any computer requiring a "reboot" as you put it because the term is used to describe when we turn our computers off then back on... tell your friend to take the issue to another center and get the low down on what's being done. Unless the computer is being leased, which is unlikely, then there would be no cause for this person to continue coming to your friend's house.

I've owned my Mac for three years with no problems. Not a one. I love my Mac. I have never heard of anyone having so many problems.

Nope, he's wasting his money.

In general, they are self maintaining, or tell you what they need.

Macs are great.

But the owners should go to some classes. They are free at a lot of the colleges.

what a load of rubbish.. ive had a mac for many years and never heard of this... mine works perfectly without any troubles.... mac rules
