Hey Ladies! I'm starting to have a hard time fitting into my clothes and have been looking a maternity wear. I am pleasently surprised so far at what I've seen for tops, pants I think will be more tricky! I was wondering what I need? Where to go? (Live close to Toronto and Hamilton Areas, Canada) Any good online stores/shopping sites? How may of what? How much I should budget to spend? Should I wear heals still? I am due at end of Septemeber so most of the clothes will need to be summer suitable, but since It's freezing now I also need some warmer clothes! Also looking for something aliitle funky and stylish! I have found a few shirts that I can wear now and after, empire waist and very cool, did others find they did this and it was a good idea, to buy stuff that can be worn after aswell? Any suggestions, lists would be great!

Speaking as a fellow Canuck:
Rhonda Maternity -- http://www.rhondamaternity.com/ -- in TO, no less.
& apparently there're only six Baby Gap stores in Canada with the little Gap Maternity dept -- one has to be in Toronto; call and find it -- well worth seeking out. I have never seen an Old Navy with a maternity dept here, and they don't ship here, either.
Stuff on-line is either hideous or pricy or pricy if shipped to Canada, but. http://www.apeainthepod.com/ is worth looking at.
Beware some "I'll wear this after" stuff. Once you've stretched out most fabrics, they're stretched out for good. And cram a basketball under empire-waist stuff, and see if the front hem isn't going to stop at your navel.
On that line: buy long shirts. Waistbands on maternity trousers are definitely things you want covered up, but a lot of the shirts come down to a normal length.
How much should you budget? $50-$500, I guess. There're a lot of people here who say "I didn't wear maternity clothes until I was six months!" -- from people wear, well, sweatpants -- or "I only spent $25!" and I think: gee, that must be one magical Sally Ann they live near... But it can be done cheaply.
Hit Value Village. All that're near you, and repeatedly. Good stuff will turn up, and turn up quite cheaply. Also try consignment stores; a few regular women's clothing ones have maternity stuff, and a lot of children's consignment stores do.
Thyme Maternity is dubious quality. A few decent basics, but apart from that, a lot of cheap fabrics that won't wear well enough to last even the brief time you need them for. Motherhood Maternity is less crummy, but, again, beware of junk.
eBay is good if you can find a pile of 'gently used' stuff from somebody your size with your taste, but that's easier said than done. Worth checking out for one odd item like a semi-formal dress or a decent coat.
Heels: if you like. Though beware; I am now out $$$$ in "but I'll have them forever" shoes. Your feet will probably swell a bit, and quite possibly grow a half size or so. Apparently that's permanent. Sigh.

Old Navy has some really great sweaters that are like jackets, they tie around what used to be your waist. I've found some great stuff at Ross too. I'm not sure if they have that store up in Canada though. Ebay is always a good choice, but you have to make sure of measurements and sizing. Your going to need a couple pairs of jeans. A pair of nice pants. A few short sleeved shirts. A few wrap sweaters to get you through winter. Some capri's or shorts or skirts for the hotter days. And some sun dresses would be good. Remember to save money for new bras and underwear and some comphy shoes.

Try to buy normal clothes that stretch, I only have 2 maternity tops. All the rest are normal stretchy skirts and tops.
Maternity wear is very expensive, and I can still wear these clothes afterwards.
Low heels are good when going out.
