I think Shrub is just plain dumb. But I understand what you are saying. If you read the PNAC doctorine, they talkin about a Pearl Harbor invasion to start a muscular foreign policy.....

D@mn, thats a tough one...well we all know he is definitely not the brightest...so dumb is definitely a possibility but that would have to include his whole administration so I would say that they ignored the warnings that the Clinton administration handed them as they had their own agenda and that was to find a reason to start a war with Iraq...9/11 was very convienient for them!!

I think our President was too obsessed with Iraq, from his first day in office, to want to hear too much about Al Queda. 9/11 gave him the perfect opportunity to tie it to Iraq (erroneously as we all know now) and manipulating our horror and rage wasn't difficult at that time.

No... Before 9/11 most Americans had this mentality that NO ONE could do anything to us, and that NO ONE would dare do anything to us. Cause we would attack. But we where proven wrong. Post 9/11 there has been MANY thwarted terrorist attacks on US. So he is doing something. And Great Britain has thwarted several attacks coming our way too.

If you have verifiable information on how the govt actually had specific enough info to have stopped it from happening, then trot it on out. Otherwise, I would say that you are the one who is dumb enough to believe whatever the left trots out. His level of intelligence has nothing to do with it, but yours might.
