They won't do that, and do not let infowars fool you. (I believe some of what they say..especially re: 9/11, but not this) What the government is doing now is expanding to create pathogens then create the vaccines against biological attack. This was just on the History Channel a couple days ago. President Richard Nixon signed a permanent, non-revokeable legislation into law that they 'can not' use germ ware-fare...no matter what.

They began experimenting with germ warfare right after WWII. It got as far as Viet Nam with Agent Orange and that's when it all stopped. It most especially hurt the farmers animals in the southwest when they were trying out Nerve Gas and it killed thousands of animals and millions of dollars in revenue for farmers was lost. It just so happened that there was a military accident with the nerve gas and the wind carried it in the wrong direction, and it was exculded from ANY future use.

The government encountered so many issues with biological warefare that it began to scare government. That's why Nixon signed the leglislation to NOT use it...EVER. So, infowars is very WRONG on that count. Now, our laws are different from those of other nations, and they may use it...but we cannot; no arguments, no using 'but these are different circumstances'...nothing.

Like I said, they've had that bio-defense lab since right after WWII and they may play with germs, but they won't be using it. WHy?, because if government does, they WILL be held accountable by their own leglislation.

I guess I would be worried, but Bush is a Republican, and pro-life.

Surely he wouldn't worry about 32 cell fetuses and be developing ways to kill millions of fully developed, thinking, innocent women and children.

I can also take comfort in the knowledge that the use of these weapons, as a last resort, of course, results in entirely predictable results.

I might have trouble sleeping at night if I thought that such a weapon, if deployed, might turn into something completely unexpected with a minor natural genetic mutation, and kill us all.

I am also fully confident in this administration's ability to handle the disaster that would occur if there were an accidental release of one of these not-developed-for-offense agents.

I snuggle with the knowledge that just one disgruntled or psychotic worker at such a lab would be much less dangerous than all of those postal workers at McDonalds.

Our air defense system on 9/11 and FEMA's exemplary performance after Katrina, and the results of the war on terror, have all shown me that I have never been safer as an American, and when push comes to shove, I can count on my government for everything, including my public opinion.

On a serious note, There are very few countries in the world with the resources required for a viable bio-warfare program.

Saddam got his WMD, equipment and expertise from the US.

So do most of the others that possess such technology.

The Anthrax was said to be military grade and weaponized, which means there is a 99% chance it came from a US lab.

Bush policy is "Offense is Defense", so developing such weapons fits perfectly within their logic.

Bush and many others have already made it perfectly clear that the president has the full authority to violate the Constitution and any US or international laws, so the legality of such a program would not even be an issue for consideration.

If any history survives after this final surge for US world military domination, we will be despised for allowing our great nation to be mislead, misguided, bankrupted, and used by a small group of sociopaths.

If we do not end this post 9/11 psychosis that has taken command of our nation, then that insanity and fear will end our Nation.

If we need fear no other nation, then why should we fear a GROUP of crazies?

Terrorists are mean, nasty, scary, people, and sometimes (not most of the time) they succeed in keeping the secret and causing some damage. No different than any other criminal.

More than 30 times as many people die each year from medical errors and hospital infections, yet no war on health care.

Drunks and abusive relatives each kill more than 3,000 people each year, yet no irrational fear costing trillions of dollars.

Time to take a deep breath, take a rational look around, and fire all of those responsible for feeding this fear frenzy.

Time to redirect our efforts into prolonging life instead of spending trillions to better our ability to destroy it.

Time to dismantle the war machine sucking our nation dry and creating more enemies each day than we can kill.

We already have enough chemical and biological weapons without producing more. We are in the process of destroying much, if not all, of it. Maybe that's what the Lab is for? We have the largest supply of those types of weapons in the world. ALL of them should be destroyed throughout the world, period!

they've always had the weapons, they have enough anthrax to kill the world times over. It shows a stepping up of efforts though.

As long as the only people that get it are third world assholes bent on the disruption of my way of life, I am on board.
