I think it is really funny and that it belittles homophobia more than homosexuality, but I did hear about another version where they beat each other up at the end that does sound offensive to me. What do you think?

Yeah, not to be discriminating, but I am asking members of the LGBT community to answer. I really do not care how disgusting anyone thinks two guys kissing is.

i didnt think so. if anything they were making fun of the people who are homophobic. i live near san fransisco (gay capitol of the world) and there weren't any riots or anything so im guessing not to many gays were bothered.

PS i also liked the one with the song:

I think the ripping out chest hair one is funny!

But I think the one where they hurt one another is not. Pretty much anything that advocates violence against others in order to make up for a "gay" action just doesn't fly with me. That's because that's what boys already do in our society. That whole "Accused of doing something gay? Let's fight about it!" mentality. Let's not encourage it. :)

I also read that one of the reasons why some people didn't like the chest hair one isn't because of the commercial itself. It's because they filmed and showed the reactions of the football players who watched the commercial, and most of the players were making faces like they were disgusted by the kiss. So I think people were more upset with the pro football players being a bad example for the kids who look up to them.

I love the chest hair commercial, though! :)

I just thought it was funny. I think the news about how the commercial was banned gave Snickers their moneys worth though, so no big deal if it was banned if so many Americans are homephobic

Heck no! It's funny to think of two rednecks kissing over a candy bar. If anything, the rednecks should be offended...you know this kind of thing happens...

I am not going to stop buying snickers but rather offensive they were tasteless and classless.

I can't imagine paying an ad agency for such stupidity!

Love snickers...

I can't say I was offended I just didn't like it. I won't drink out of someones cup and I certainly don't want them drinking out of mine.

I think it's more about getting each other germs that turned me off.

It doesn't really make any sense. It's a really contrived joke. I think Snickers wasted their money and time.

I thought it was disgusting, but that is just me seeing two guys doing that in any circumstance. I saw that ad, and my husband and son were both making faces and saying ewww,,,,,I thought it was inappropriate but I was not offended by it. I have a tough shell, even though I'm an evil, hating Christian like the media depicts me as.
