Indirectly, yes. Those are the tools that thieves use to steal copyrighted media. But it's the old "Guns don't kill people, people kill people" argument...
Those tools (cd burners and blank cds) are very useful for perfectly legitimate purposes. So if a person uses those items to commit a crime, does that make those items bad? No. Do they by themselves hurt the industry? No, the criminals that use them hurt the industry.

I think perhaps it does hurt CD sales.
But with the advent of downloadable music the entertainment industry also has a new way of capitalizing, reducing the "hurt" on it. ~_^

i have had an similar difficulty countless cases, i ultimately discovered out it develop into the variety or form of cd i develop into utilising to burn. i tried cd-r disk and cd-rw disk, had the difficulty with both till i went into the ninety-9 cents keep and tried their cd-r disk and they have worked superb considering then. some human beings imagine that the further you pay for a sparkling disk, the further perfect the overall performance, yet thats no longer authentic, attempt the low priced ones for ninety 9 cents(pleomax cd-r 52x disk). your cd burner could artwork nicely with them(they're in a blue and white field or %.). sturdy luck.

sure it hurts. it helps people to duplicate everything; like movies, albums and etc. this means it will be very hard for artists soon to earn money, as long as they dont find a different way to earn.
