One poster says GB is a better leader than we deserve, but I disagree. I think he's the most dangerous man to be president we've ever had.
It's an overstatement to say that Cheney is the mastermind of anything -- he might control Bush, but he's certainly not singlehandedly worthy of credit/blame for the Iraq quagmire.
Bush's father isn't behind this either -- he and his consigliere, James Baker, have distanced themselves from Shrub.
Here's what most of us Americans don't know: the idea to illegally invade Iraq came from the Neo-Conservatives at PNAC (the Project for the New American Century) who patiently waited through eight years of Clinton before they could take charge & put someone in the White House who was maleable enough.
Don't just take my word for it -- check out the info about this frightening conservative organization for yourself. on't feel bad if you've never heard of them; somehow, the US media don't seem to keep them on their radar....

I disagree- George W. Bush and his father (George H W Bush) are barely speaking anymore because of this war... There have been numerous articles outlining their difference of opinion, and the father was in the perfect situation to invade Iraq in 1990 if he thought it would have been a good idea. He believed that we'd get bogged down there and the war would be a failure.
Yes the younger bush is too stupid to conceive of this on his own, but he is easily manipulated by Cheney and others in the party. Dick Cheney is the mastermind behind this whole war in Iraq.

I'm not sure if Bush Sr was abusive, but I do believe George W did a lot of mistakes to prove himself as being just as good. When I was in college, I sometime I feel sorry for some of the rich kids. They seem to give up in life because they can't out do their father. They do dumb things in response. Bush is too stupid to be responsible for the mess on his own, but he is still responsible. He is still evil for rubber stamping stuff. None of these ideas were his but he agreed to do this out of his own ego. I doubt his father is as evil as you say. George W does not look like he is listening to his father. If you remember, There was only one guy high up in his first cabinet that was not Really Really Evil.

I think your theory makes a lot of sense but I wouldn't know for sure as Jason's theory seem to make sense to me as well, good question..
I think when you think about the things he has done and still doing to all the innocents, "revenge" seems to be the best possible reason, he wants to complete the job that was left undone and wants to be in the history doesn't matter if it's as good or evil to him...He's very dangerous in deed...he should be in a mental hospital..That's just really scary..

The Bush family are very close . Why would you care ..what with all your "theories"..I have a theory about those who use the president's name to boost their sorry ego . You can't state fact- but you don't like injustice ????
Hillary Clinton hates bullies . Isn't that ironic ?

gwb is a better person than we deserve but as you say someone has lied to him ,that person wasnt his father it was his advisers his advisers were them selves missled by leo strausss the origonal neo nazi
it is leo's doctrine of fear that allowed rulers to lead
the basic theory is give them an imagined or semi-real fear then get tough on that greated fear ,with regan it was drugs ,egsagurate the dangers then get tough
them it was the russions ,remember the arms race all lies ,it was our money keeping the dream alive [nightmare] but allows our leaders to be tough ,seen to be in control
then wolfiwitz and cheeny and rummy came up with terror ,seems leo had a preddesessor who took the same teqnique to the arabs thus bin larden,
any way it wernt gwb nor his father ,especially not the father ,please respect this man he is not long with us ,in fact he is what keeps gwb feet on the ground dont add to the fathers burden
dont even blame gwb ,nor even leo ,nor rummy nor even the wolf ,its the system we us ,not them
we need fear
we need the strong leaders
we vote for them to save us from the drug dealers ,commies and -errorists
then
we buy the products of the self same lobbiests that pay the money that pay for the adds that make us want to voter for the strong leader to save us from delusional fears
dont seek to cast blame offer a way out of this mess
voters [fearfilled patriotic name calling voters have made very real and present danger d-anger -d-evil -d-veil ,vile -live=-d
credit where only fear is due

I also believe it runs in their family, but there is more to this than just his father I believe. Check out the links to his grandfather Prescott Bush and his dealings with Adolf Hitler. This goes beyond the Bush family.
