Kobe Bryant is undoubtly the best player in the NBA, well, His basketball gift or talent separates him from the rest. the shots that he takes The degree of diffulty, he makes it look so easy, lebron and wade do participate in this, but if u watch a lakers game, Kobe's fadeaway, jumpshots, falling jumpshots, is incredible, he just makes it so easy, now after finally deciding to become a team player, I can finally proclaim Kobe as the most complete player in the game. and I'm not even a lakers fan lol but what do u guys think? who's the best? and if u say Steve Nash, then i would say, mang i hope he was in my team lol

he's got the best jumpshot, is in the top-5 as a slasher & defender, and is in the bottom 5 for leadership, attitude, and overall feel for the game.

In my opinion Kobe, Dirk, and Wade are the three most dominant players in the league today. All capable of just taking over a game at a given point with inside or outside play. I would give the edge to D-Wade right now just cause he beat Dirk in the Finals but you cant go wrong with any of those 3. LeBron and KG arent up there cause theyre both losers not making their teams win and bitching about how bad your teammates are isnt an excuse. Kobe, Dirk, and Wade make their teams better even though they dont get credit for doing it just becuase they dont rack up assists like Nash does. So dont hate on kobe cause you know you wish you could do everything he can.

Kobe Bryant is a beast. He is doing the thing this year. Amazing Talent ... and as always in the MVP race. Why I don't respect him???

Not because he's a selfish player (he's passing more this year)
Not because he had sex out of wedlock (i bet every person in the league does that)

Because he ran Shaq out of town so he could be the only superstar on the team. They had a dynasty in the making and he couldn't share the spotlight. Shaq - an ambassador of the game. IF the Disel stays I bet Kobe would have gotten the Finals MVP if the Lake show would have won it all. Instead you see D Wade on every commercial and he has something Kobe doesn't a FINALS MVP on his mantle.

No respect for that dude. Do you know how many players would kill to win a title (from the chuckster to the mailman).

NO RESPECT FOR KOBE...GREAT TALENT HORRIBLE PERSON. NO HUMILITY

Yes, Kobe Bryant should be the MVP. Kobe always played under Shaq's shadow, hogging the ball all to often in an effort to be the better player on the team. Now that Shaq is gone, he knows he is the team leader and has adjusted to what Phil Jackson has told him since day one, to pass the ball. Who else in the NBA can consistantly drain game tying or winning shots in the final seconds of a game? Not to many. His work ethic during practice and especially during the offseason is off the charts. He comes ready to play, and ALWAYS gives 110% in EVERY game, even if the Lakers are losing, he is a basketball machine.

yup all you guys pretty much got it down. after this season it is undeniable that kobe is the best player in the nba right now... hands down. all the hate is really getting old because now kobe is becoming the player critics and haters didnt think he could be. anybody who says he's a ball hog, is selfish, not a team player... all that bull... they obviously dont know what they're talking about because they just cant see past the bad rep kobe has gotten through the years. this season kobe has shown how much he has grown in every aspect of the game. he gets better every year and that says something about his dedication to the game as well as his character. those not willing to admit to that are either stubborn for being blinded by his tainted reputation or just plain jealous. and thats the TRUTH. kb24 for mvp!

To the person that said Kobe ran Shaq out of time please get over it. Kobe is not the only reason Shaq left, nor is he the only reason for the 04 Lakers failures. Shaq was to blame for that teams problems too. I don't think Kobe is a bad person. Cocky, definitely, conceded maybe, but not a bad person. All that being said he is one of the best and even if you don't like Kobe Bryant the person, you have to respect Kobe Bryant the player.

Nobody can deny Kobe is the best, and all of these people who refuse to aknowledge his greatness will be hating themselves after he retires for being too ignorant to enjoy a once in a decade player like Kobe. The same can be said of Jordan, who was called a ball hog like Kobe and had his set of legal troubles(gambling). In the long run though, Kobe will be remembered for his great successes on the court, like the 81 points.

It is only fair to the team to be a team player. He should just participate in a shoot around.

It's no different than taking the family out to eat and you are the only one who gets to order a plate of food while the rest of the family sit there watch you eat.

Skiing would be a good sport. It is an individual sport.

Too many good NBA players to say who is the best on any given night.
