If you have a web based e-mail address such as Yahoo or Hotmail, you need a password to get into it, but you don't need a password to get on "any website" so I am at a loss as to what you are talking about in this case.. You should never rely on your memory when it comes to passwords. Anyway, usually when you create an e-mail account, they ask you to create a secret question with a secret answer just in case you may forget your password and have to reset it. So if you can't remember your password just click the "Forget Password?" link and go from there.
