What happened to the days when Bob Hope would grab a bunch of stars to entertain & say "Thanks" to our troops instead of calling them murderers and torturers and illiterate dummies ? Are they such ego maniacs that they clearly do not know the fans they once had hate their guts now that they see them for what they really are ... traitors ?

it seems to me that quite a few far left wacko communists like to become actors/singers....then spew their own personal beliefs on everyone...who the f*ck cares what they think- I don't know! Also, there are a lot of these screw balls hiding out in universities teaching poli sci and other classes.....probably because they can't get a real job, they "stay in school forever"......thanks BERKELEY! you want to find troop haters, do research on the bay area, it is truly gross.....

where have i been?~why do u procrastinate over a small War in the middle east~this is business as usual, it just has a price tag that should come out of the spoils of victory but we are lost on conducting affairs in the last few battles that reached a point of expenditures, the troops are in harms way as usual and never has the price been so high for such a short amount of time. i have on of dad shots of Joey brown the comedian in the Philippines, WW11. i missed something here? what are the hard words about u lost me?~army brat

I'd say that just because YOU obviously support people going over to Iraq and support the war effort that everyone else should as well. Well, you're wrong, and the difference between our country and others is that when people believe something, they're allowed to denounce it. Maybe other people who support our troops should get out there and shout their praise instead of hating people who clearly don't. And people who don't shouldn't be called traitors- traitors to what? Our country? Is it so wrong that people don't support the war? Or do you believe everyone should all support violence and killing innocent people?

I agree with you there has been moral buster since Bob Hope Left us. This is a cowards war and a hunt and peck war.We never can be prepared for one gathering for we could be blowed up singing God Bless America. We are searching for I call it underground rats. We are no longer safe to wonder in those countries. These people have been in the heat too long.Look at the unrest in hot heat south. The Bette Davis Hollywood canteen is no longer either.Only in movies to be Gone With The Heat.

Some posters here bash Jane Fonda, but she's kind of an ancient target.
And Bob Hope was one of many, many Hollywood stars who "supported the troops" by traveling to entertain them

These days, it's Susan Sarandon, Tim Robbins, Ben Affleck, Robert DeNiro, Sean Penn on the Hollywood left.
There are many on the right, including Charlton Heston, Mel Gibson, & Clint Eastwood.

It's just wrong to call critics of this administration TRAITORS. They --along with everyone else in this country-- have a right to support or refuse to support any president, any war, or any issue.

You can support the troops and not the war which is what a large percentage of them are doing.

Good Q. Those days are indeed gone. It almost seems like we are a house divided.

My country, right or wrong!
that's what a lot of Germans espoused in WWII
This is America.
And if you do not know our Constitution it is high time you read it.
Being against the war does NOT mean one is against the troops.
