My passion in life is learning languages, learning about different cultures, and helping people, but to be brutally honest, I would also like to make a reasonable amount of money-- enough to support myself and if I have kids one day and not have to rely completely on my future husband.. (a feminist here)

I love to travel and write as well. I'm also good at math. I like to try new things. I currently know Spanish, becoming better at Italian and French, and have just started learning Chinese and the Russian alphabet.

Does anyone know what kind of career I would enjoy and be able to make the most out of my interests?

I've been searching and searching- it's just so hard!
I'm scared of redundancy and boredom in my career.

I want to make a difference in the world...

I'll be graduating with my Bachelor's in Spring '08, and want to attend grad school, just not sure for what yet.

Thanks for all your answers thus far... and that's funny that one of you mentioned CIA or FBI- I used to REALLY be interested in that... I don't know why I've changed my mind... I guess I feel like it would somehow constrain me.

Being a journalist would be awesome, but isn't it hard to make money unless you're like a cable-news employee?

Good luck on suckering a male to mate with, men are stupid, but no man would mate with you knowing you would leave him and raise your own children with out his participation. But as for your career interests, if you like, being a translation's (interpreter) would be your best bet as for making money. And you'd want to travel to get ingrained in whatever culture which presents whichever language you're best at, and I'd say that would be Spanish, according to your testimony.

Sounds likes you could be an Cultural & Linguistic Anthropologist. You could become a teacher in the field, and of course get paid to research such elements all over the world to ADD to worlds body of knowledge. How's that for making a difference? :)

you should try something in the medical field, like being a paramedic, with multiple languages you would be able to help a lot of people and would be able to travel with your work. also you need to be good in math. With a paramedic license you would be able to adventure into other career paths once you are thinking about childern. with the license you could go into er work, sports med, or clinic work
