Hi this happened to me twice once at 9 weeks and again at 12 weeks, after we had sex the next day when I wiped there was a pink bloodish color on the tissue. Ok the Dr said that it is quite common and nothing to worry about unless you feel time of the month cramps or bleed for more than a day. Ok I put it out of my mind and didn't bleed again after that. two days before Christmas I got my 18 week Ultrasound and was told that my baby had whats known as an echogenic bowel they scared the crap out of me and said that my baby could be deformed or have down syndromee or Edwards syndrom or have a horrible virus called CMV because of this blocked bowel they wanted to do a whole bunch of invasive tests like an amnio to which I declined and instead gave my own blood each week to rule out these possibilities. It turns out that nothing is wrong with my baby and that at 22 weeks the bowel cleared up on its own as it was not a genetic deformity but simply that when I had sex and bled after wards some of that blood was inside the amniotic sac and the baby had swallowed it. He then a few weeks later passed it and is just fine. I am telling you this so that if you have a similar experience you will know why and not panic like I did. Please look at some of my previous questions when I was going through it if you need to.

no not at all! Most women who are having a normal pregnancy may continue to have sex right up until their water breaks or they go into labor.YOU WON't HURT THE BABY BY MAKING LOVE. The amniotic sac and the strong muscles of the uterus protect your baby, and the thick mucus plug that seals the cervix helps guard against infection. There are some circumstances, though, in which you may need to modify your activity or abstain from sex altogether for part or all of your pregnancy. Your midwife or doctor should let you know whether you have — or develop — any complications that make sex a no-go. If you're uncertain, ask your caregiver. ENJOY! congratulations in advance!

Bleeding during pregnancy means that you need to be careful, you can't just say "It stopped, so it's OK, let's do it again". It doesn't necessarily mean that you are going to have a problem, but only if you take the correct steps, so what you must do is a doctor's appointment, explain exactly what you told us, get examined by the doctor, and follow his instructions. we can't tell you what is wrong over the net, it could be a number of things.

im not a doctor but my finace right now is also pregnant and ive been to every one of her doctor apointments. they ask you about bleeding every time you go to an apoinment here wich makes me belive its prety serious. most wemon have contractions after sex this might just be a side affect of the pressure on your stomach but ignoring this could lead to imature birth or other ways that harm you or your baby.

It's likely nothing, but I would check with your mid-wife to be certain. (A mid-wife assisted birth is so much more relaxing than with a doctor.)

I think you should visit your GYN. I don't think you should have sexual intercourse if you have bled. That is not a normal sign. Seek professional help.

You REALLY need to be asking your doctor this question. We can't tell you for sure. Sorry.
