Overall, Americans are very friendly. Except for New York. They wouldn't spit on you if you were on fire. People in the Midwest and South are really great. People on the West Coast are too selfish. They have no idea that other people exist.

i have to admit i have seen allot of snobbish and unfriendlness toward non-Americans, but i think they do it with out Noni, i have been around and travelled so i no about different people and culture more than your average person, i have seen a woman in a bagel shop was rude to a old Chinese woman just because the Chinese woman could not speak the language very sad. i seen a clerk at a check out stand giving some Mexicans a hard time because they couldn't speak the language, we Americans just don't have any patients left. we are way over worked and under paid, look at the high rate of depression in the u.s.a. maybe that we give you a clue, the Mexicans are coming in and taking are jobs, then they say that they only take the jobs we don't want and that bull, i no allot of people that like to do construction and landscaping type work of course they like to get paid to can you blame them. i am very friendly to non Americans i have lots of fun with them. but i am not your typical American, to let you in on a little secret we are not only snobbish to non-Americans we are that way to each other to so don't think you are getting treated any different, believe me its true.

Every one is different. I'm American and I'm not snobbish towards non-Americans, but I'm sure a lot of people can be snobbish.

Wow. nicely, there is been only really about US politics on cable right here and somewhat interior the papers and that is dazzling over right here(from an Australian perspective) how lengthy each and every thing is drawn out. If I had to make a determination, that is whoever had sturdy regulations to benefit the human beings who pick it maximum somewhat than who the candidate develop into or their sex/color. yet then, may you've an similar sadness over interior the U. S., the position after a candidate is elected, they convey about in nasty surprises/new regulations like in Australia? It makes it very not person-friendly to trust politicians, ought to attempt to pick the lesser of both(or 3) evils.

I think it depends on the expierences they have had with "non-American" people so far. I think there some Americans who feel we are being taken over by "non-Americans" and that could cause some tention, or threat that appears snobbish.??

That depends on the individual and their ideas about life.
It also depends on the circumstances. Visitor to our country - someone who is currenly killing Americans?
I was always friendly to Americans and Non-Americans.
For the most part American's are helpful in kind in most situations and I think that is the best that can be said of any country or group of people.
