i believe we go to another state of existance after death. we ascend to an afterlife. if you believe as Christians do then you can potentially make it into Heaven where it is all joy and peace. That is my personal belief but you have to live a good life and help others. Even buddhists believe in a higher spiritual form that can be achieved if you live your life well... and they don't believe in God.

Do you mean losing consciousness rather than conscience I wonder? There can be happiness in death if you feel assured that you are going to Heaven & will be reunited with your loved ones. That is the only comfort. Death is mostly sad for those left behind. When you die, you're going to a better place. But it's still hard to leave this world behind and venture into the unknown.

A release from pains physical and emotional.
Escape from the loneliness when all of your friends and family have gone on without you, and the hope of joining them.
Cynicism that comes with having lived too long and seen too much, so that life, while precious, seems to have no point in it.
There are lots of reasons to expect to find happiness in death, whether there is an afterlife or not.

Certainly Yes, In fact " Death is a Deliverance " (Courtesy: Gradations in Human Life by Sri Sivan Sir); GOD saves us by not doing any more sin's..hence Death must be a delivrance and happiness..right.

Yep. Especially for all the religious ppl who die and realize there is no heaven and then the last second of their life just regret not living it to the fullest.
