Losing what I can never get back....wishing I could go back in time & hold him & never let go...A close friend passed away. I miss him. I just miss him. I miss his face & his voice & everything about him. I've gone through the stages of grief. I've reached acceptance but it still sucks. & sometimes I just need to sing about him & torture myself with pictures of him & just cry & say goodbye & miss him. I have to hold it together at work. I have to be strong for other people & pretend to have it all together but when I'm home alone it's nice to be free to just let it out. Crying is therapy for me. It's a release. A relief. Like painting or writing songs. I need to get it out. I always feel better afterward. I'm not afraid to feel my feelings. I cry all my tears. I laugh all of my laughter. I yell when I'm angry. I am completely alive. Some people don't let themselves feel. They try to stifle their emotions so that they seem strong and insensitive, then they end up with ulcers. As an artist, I celebrate my feelings. I am strong enough to let myself be vulnerable.
I think it's healthy to have a good cry.

Self-esteem or ego does. We don't want to be caught or seen most of the times in our weakest point in life. Having someone seeing us crying, removes our feelings of security thus exposing our vulnerability to that person(s). Crying is a sign or outlet for our being imperfect human and for being weak. It also epitomizes the notion that we failed to achieve towards an end.
And by the way, this question pertains to Psychology. Also Philo in a sense.

I prefer to cry alone. I'm one who can better work out his ordeals by himself. It makes me stronger in a lot of ways.
