So if you want to influence your spouse to be less angry, the fastest (may still take years) is to reward the times he shows self-control. One of biggest rewards you can give him is to say things like, "I was so impressed with the way you controlled your anger." or "I really respect the way you didn't let that bother you." Guys want to impress wormen and be respected by them.

well guess you could tell him or her how it makes that person look and how embarrased you are. and that there is always other ways of getting across there question to strangers without making a scene and lowering them selves.
also explain to him to treat others the way he would want to be treated.
