My students are studying GCE A Level, and also hope to apply for US colleges, how to convert the British A Level Grade to US GPA?

So far my research has said...DON'T! You're more liable to make a mistake if you do it yourself.

I did find the international entrance requirements for an university in Ohio. My suggestion is for your students to look online for each US college's requirements for international students and see if they qualify.

Most colleges will recalculate the grade themselves, so when making an application, it's best to state in full what qualification they have and the grade they have in the UK.

FYI: According to UK Naric, a USA High School graduation diploma is the equivalent to GCSEs grades A* - C. The Advanced placement exam is equal to overall A-Levels/Scottish Advanced Highers.

GPA in the USA is:
A excellent 4.0
B good 3.0
C average 2.0
D pass 1.0
F fail 0
