Has anyone put on an aftermarket exhaust? I want to make my bike sound louder...its a little too quite.

What does being quiet have to do with your enjoyment of the ride? How is louder better? You just want it louder for the sake of being noisy?

Way, WAY too big for a first bike. I'd say the same thing to a 30 year-old riding for the first time but it goes triple for a teenager, even a mature one. The laws in America are a f***ing joke, there's no way an untrained rider should ever be allowed to ride bikes like that, it's just too dangerous. If it was restricted to 33bhp I'd say "maybe" but really anything bigger than a 250 is too much of a risk. Start on a 250, ride it for a year or two and then sell it and upgrade.

I say go ahead and do it .I have got a zx10r ninja the lights are always on and i always use my indicators but have had many near misses which were not my fault mostly when stationary and waiting to turn.Eventually i got so fed up i bought an akropovic exhaust for it, louder but not too loud. By some amazing miracle 3 years later and it hasn't happend again.
