Depends, since you are talking history. Gulf War 1 certainly was right. Iraq invaded and overran Kuwait. The problem is, contrary to popular belief, Gulf War 1 never ended. We simply stopped the ground attack at the border. At that point, Saddam was killing off his own people with the WMD's, and that is when the US started the No-Fly zones where were manifestly over Iraq territory. We were keeping him from slaughtering the Kurds and the Shiites. Everybody does understand this, right?

Now if Canada was enforcing a no fly zone over New England, would that be war? You bet it would be, and so is what we were doing. The second ground invasion of Iraq merely put closure on that war, that had been ongoing for over 10 years.

If Iraq was to fall into the hands of Shiites or Sunni religious fanatics the United States and the Saudis would lose there ability to control world oil prices and American companies would lose profits and the Saud family might lose their country. Saddam Hussein was going to pump too much oil onto the world market when the sanctions against Iraq were to be dropped. This would have killed Exxon's hope of record profits. Eventually, a pro-Western dictator will be placed in control of Iraq and the U.S. will withdraw troops as the new tyrant imposes control over the country.

It contravenes international law - it's illegal
It was waged because of incorrect allegations that Iraq had WMD's which were never found - not even buried in the desert as so many had hoped the coalition forces would find in the last 4 years
Hundreds of thousands of innocent men, women and children have been killed in the name of spreading democracy to the Middle East - just as long as its US style politics - which the locals, quite understandably, reject
The US and Britain have no moral right to be occupying a foreign land - if they really wanted rid of Saddam Hussein without massive destruction I'm sure the CIA and MI6 could have plotted his assasination.
George Bush Jr is a psychopathic serial killer hiding behind the pathetic facade of Christianity! He should be tried and condemned for crimes against humanity.

This is going to be my honest opinion so don't take it personally. First off the reasons we had for attacking Iraq were invalid and wrong. Second of all I think a religious war is the worst of the lot. However at the same time I believe that the Muslim belief system is wrong and evil at its core and I don't want to follow their messed up views and if they had their say in things that would be the way it is. I think women are just as important as men, regardless of what there stupid God says.
