Of course. Some of these candidates, as a person, do not deserve to hold elected office. But they do.

In democracy, we elect the party, their platform, their leader and their track record with an eye on the future.

If we go by the person alone about 90% would not be elected. Moral character is bankrupt in these people.

Where else can a convicted criminal be elected to office while he is still serving time in jail? Only in India. Enough said.
