There are a lot of different colleges all over the U.S. that are walking out of classes that day in opposition to the war. Have you heard of it? And would you do it?

As a matter of fact, I am a student and an Iraq veteran and I think it's very important for people to show that the majority of the population does not support this war and want Congress to defund it and bring the troops home. I am out of the military now (have been for 3 weeks) and know that a lot of my friends that are still in going back for a second tour. We need to stand up and oppose this illegal war!
By the way the day of this student strike accross the country is on Feb. 15.

I haven't heard of it, but if I cared enough to try and stop the war (sorry, I honestly do not understand the actual reason that we are currently in war, who caused it, and what its over.) I would do something more than a strike a college campus (and prefably something to impact my knowledge less, sorry I go to school BY CHOICE not to earn some stupid piece of paper, I go because I thirst for knowledge.) like try and actually talk to the people that can stop the war which probably would not work so I would create a movement of people to follow me.

So no, I am not striking, I am not a student who is rich or has very much, and I cannot afford to miss class.

By the way, to those that disagree with me, seriously sending me hate mail, or hate IMs really isn't going to change my opinions on anything so waste your own time.

Some have shown their opposition to the war and US involvement...

But not as you have mentioned..
Those who self finance their education know the value of it!

No I would not. Why would I skip a class to protest a war, it wouldn't do anything. I pay for my education so I am going to go to class.

And I do oppose the war.

why don't you ask a soldier who is fighting for your "right" to protest the war if HE/SHE would attend?
