much better, more smooth, less commercial type stuff and hardcore in your face. its more of a man sport than todays NFL easily but if you compared it to the lates 60's early 70's NFL I would say they are close, jut different

I might not be a typical football fan but I like Australian rules football. I think it takes a lot of athleticism and strength and nerve to play without all the padding. There is plenty of scoring which keeps the game exciting. You cannot be a crybaby and play that game to survive . The scoring system is very simple to follow which would help any novice to understand.

Honestly I've never seen it. I don't think it gets shown, and if it is I just never saw it being on. I think it would be intresting to try to watch it once and see what it was like. Maybe ESPN or something could pick it up for a season so we would have a chance to understand it some as well.

I used to watch Aussie ball all the time & never did figure out the rules ( even sent for the official rule book), but it was great to watch. The two different goal posts & the ref dressed in the white coat & flag was strange! I wish it was still televised here today.

I've watched several games and found it fun and action-packed. Now I don't want to get in some stupid debate about which is best, American or Australian, because both games have their merits.

organized confusion. i like it, but i grew up playing and now coaching american, so i prefer the strategy of lining up my best against your best and letting them go at it for a while. in aussie, every one must know how to kick and it takes a lot of conditioning to run up and down the field all game and with no pads.but your refs are the best with the run in score and the kick in score . the serious faced arm point is like way cool. i watched it many times when i was overseas. some of us are not too arrogant to understand and enjoy other sports from other countries. it has a lot of action like ours does, so it works. but cricket i understand how it is played, but it just does not do it for me

lordding doesnt know what the hell hes talking about, nfl football today def has bigger, stronger, and faster players than in the 60s/70s. why do you think they made all these rules to protect the quarterbacks and other players.
hehe ill answer the rugby question now. i saw it and it seemed like there was some chaos, and not have any plays drawn up
