My best friend moved out of state, and across the country a few months ago and everyone tells me that I need to replace her. I do have other close friends, But can you ever really replace your BEST FRIEND?

who are these people TELLING you to replace her? don't replace her just because she moved. you can still have her in your life. it won't be the same i admit. and you guys will most likely end up losing the closeness and the type of friendship that you had. but let that come along on its own. don't force it. i promise you that you'll eventually become more close to other friends and have another best friend. but just like the best friend that you have now...it just happened. you guys were just friends and now you guys are best friends. so let things take its course.

Could you replace your mother? No. You can't replace a best friend simply because they've been that during a certain time span of your life. You may get a new best friend and that person will be such from that point onwards. I try to remember all the people that were my best friends at various stages of my life. Some I still see/hear from but I've moved on and I've made new friends and currently, my best friend is my proof reader (I'm a writer). But a kid I grew up with, we made a vow at 10 we'd be best friends for life. I left school at 15 and even though he lived only a mile away, I've seen him twice since then. Hope this helps!

You may not find an exact replacement of your friend, but I think you'll find a new best friend, and there's nothing wrong with that... My groups of friends, and best friends have changed a lot over the years (I'm currently 22), especially when someone moves away.

look.best friends are not meant to be replaced nor are they exclusive property.don't cling on to a single person, move on,look among your other close friends. maybe, someone else is destined to be your best friend no.2..if you miss best friend no.1,ever heard of a useful invention called the telephone.ring her up sometimes.frankly speaking.i would not envy your telephone bill...
