I have cramps. Not really sharp but just like when you are on your period. Is this normal?

Yes it is very very normal to get cramps, collic and feel quiet uncomfortable, you will probably have nausia too, I get very bad cramps and have been since 6 weeks, due to non stop bowel movements, the doctor says my baby is completely healthy though and my symptoms are normal. Best of luck to you, they say only worry if you see blood in the first trimester, or if your cramps are very severe.. drink lots of water, eat healthy. If you are experiencing very very bad cramps he may recommend you to take a progesterone horomone, which will help fetal development and also help your collic, The ones I am taking are called Perls, they have been fabulous! if not you can try Tylanol, remember though always ask your doctor first

I am now 12 weeks and I too had cramps through out the first few weeks. They felt just as though I was going to start my period. So much so, that I kept telling my hubby I was about to get it! I asked my doctor about it and she explained it is normal. It is simply your uterus stretching and/or, pregnancy causes gas and she said gas can make me feel cramps also. Don't worry about it! Congrats by the way!!!

I think I remember having some cramping. It has to do with everything growing. You probably should call your doctor, though, if you are worried about them. Also, mention them when you go in to see him (or her).

I have them sometimes. I'm 8 weeks. Read that it was just your uterus starting to stretch a bit. If it gets severe or is accompanied by bleed, though, call you doctor.
