I'm guessing you're talking about the guys on the Titanic that kept playing even though the ship was going down. They knew there was nowhere to go so they said what the hell.
But if Rome were burning I would think that they wouldn't keep playing because they could actually run and have a chance.

I dont know how the play the fiddle....but I fiddle around alot. LOL
